May 2025, Flushing, NY – Mattone Investors is pleased to announce that their CEO, Michael X. Mattone has been named this year’s Community Partner of the Year at the 2025 Partners for Progress Gala held at Terrace on the Park on May 1. The event was well attended by leaders from the health, education, and business communities. Students were also on hand to share their stories and aspirations for the future.
The goal of QCC’s annual gala is to raise much needed funds to support student success. Many of the students who attend QCC struggle financially. A tuition balance of just under $1,000 can mean the difference between attaining a college degree or not. Throughout his career, Mr. Mattone has been a staunch supporter of education at all levels of learning, from K-12 and beyond. He has said “what a terrible injustice for someone who has a desire for education but can’t afford it”.
