June 2024, Woodbury, NY – Taking the creative approach “in thinking outside the (retail) box” does have its rewards. Mattone Investors is pleased to announce that it is this year’s recipient of the Top Retail Redevelopment in Nassau award. Long Island Business News hosted the Real Estate, Architecture and Engineering presentation and awards event at the Crest Hollow Country Club on June 18. The award recognizes the conversion of a traditional retail box into a state-of-the-art service and sales center for Tesla products.
Tesla’s January ’24 grand opening of their new fulfillment and service center in Westbury marks their fourth facility on Long Island. It utilizes 50,000 square feet of space, formerly occupied by Toys R Us in the company’s Roosevelt Raceway Center at 1350 Corporate Drive. Roosevelt Raceway Center is a 427,000 sq ft power center located on forty-seven acres in Westbury, NY. Tesla’s co-tenants in the center include Home Depot, Michael’s Crafts, PGA Superstore and Food Bazaar.
Mattone Investors CEO, Michael X. Mattone commented, “We are proud to be among this year’s honorees and wish to congratulate all who help create and build Long Island’s future.”
